Loads of candidates but liam is a good shout, although at the end of the day he's just a singer and frontman (albeit a bloody good one)
I'd say a rock n roll star has to play guitar and write songs to truly qualify.
Maybe Bowie, Freddie, jagger? Or more recently, cobain, and as much as I hate to say it, bono.
Interesting question though.

Took more drugs than most of the rest put together. Had to be resucitated after an overdose. Put in a straight jacket after slitting his own wrists. I would say he was pretty rock n roll.
Pffft, that was just a typical morning for cobain ;-)
