It would seem from another thread that grilled cheese on toast/crumpets topped with baked beans is strange, I had no idea & find it lovely.

When I was a starving student in the late Sixties (I missed most of the 68 season!) there was a choice of snacks in the JCR of cheese on toast, beans on toast, or poached egg on toast. When we were a little flusher we had the lot - egg on beans on cheese on toast! Scrumptious! I have a little more caviar these days.
