I'm bored on my day off.

Given Bernardo has hinted he will likely be off at the end of the season, who would you like to be our next captain and who do you think it will be?

I would go for Haaland. He leads by example, he's our best player and he's committed long-term to the club. Rodri would probably have been the obvious choice if he hadn't had the long term injury and may still be if he recovers well.

I don't think Pep will give it to Haaland. He seems to favour experience and go with an older player, so I can see him giving it to Rodri or Dias.

It would be nice to have a captain for more than a season or two. Kompany was the last captain to be here for a longer period. for this reason I'd favour someone younger like Haaland. Rodri will be 30 at the start of next season and has had his injury issues. Dias will be 29 and I do wonder how many more years he'll be first choice.

Not sure it's all that important, to be honest. In any given game, you want 5 or 6 "leaders" on the pitch.

But, if I was forced to name one? Probably Ruben.
I concur whole heartedly with your first comment. Over the decades, Italian and Spanish sides as well as many other countries sides do not see it as important as the British seem to. Many times they go for the guy with most appearances or caps or even share it around.
