So Notts County are now up for sale again, are we now approaching the time when the first larger club could go under.
These investers are not going to keep coming into clubs when they see other investers staying short term. It would be sad to see some of the older clubs like Pompy or Notts Cty go under but I think the time is getting closer when it happens.
Who do you think might be on the brink of major trouble.

One club that are in a real bad way is Glasgow Rangers I don't think they would be allowed to go to the wall, but what will happen is they will go back 20 years and end up being a more average side then what they already are, winning just the Scotish 'pots' while clubs around them catch up which they have never eally be allowed to do. Interesting times ahaed I think for some supporters.

me, i think liverpool are on the slide to bancruptcy, fail to make the top 4 this season and they are going to have to let players go ''fire sale'' this will only create further problems on the pitch i can honestly see them doing a leeds

agreed mate, liverpool are in big trouble financially, failure to make chumps lge next year would be devastating for them

I agree Liverpool are looking dodgy with the finances ,the trouble is the top four rely so much on the Chimps league money and probably budget for it each year, so if we manage to crack that top four I can seriously see trouble ahead for whoever misses out .

Shame , I don't think so! they have had it so cushy for years .

In terms of premierleague clubs, I can't see any of them going bust in the sense of actually folding. I think in the very worst case scenario, the league itself would step in before that happened.

I'm not so sure about lower league clubs. Going into administration means relegation with the inevitable points deductions and that does allow for restructuring. But a lot of league two clubs already operate on the financial breadline, so some spectacular falls from that level would not be out of the question.

dont think the prem would ever step in to bail out the likes of liverpool or man u there would be uproar from the other clubs,a natural swing in top 4 power is happening before our own eyes within a couple of seasons i'd say the top 4 are city, chelsea, spuds and maybe villa

Souness has been preaching on the last two champs league progs that the dippers are in deep sh1t. He recons if they dont get top four, they will have to have a fire sale. Anyone looking to buy would then wait untill they bottom out.

Has to be Portsmouth. As for the Rags, I for one hope they stay solvent - just, for two main reasons, firstly, if they go tits up, their 'World Wide Brand' would be bought by someone, possibly a very, very rich benefactor. Secondly, I want to play them twice a year, humiliate them on the pitch and persecute their fans off it. Much better that they stay with the existing owners without a pot to piss in.

Liverpool will never go under - there will be buyers but any sensible buyer is going to wait for the fire sale which is inevitable and pick the club up on the cheap.
