If you were given control of transfers - who would you be replacing them with?

For me, it would be:

Gundogan = Bellingham
Silva = Kvaratskhelia
Laprote = Gvardiol

As much as I’d love all the above your looking at easy 350million In transfer spend. Just can’t see us spending that on 3 players.

£220m in one window wouldn't be completely out-of-the-question.

Fair point but knowing us we’ll get about 70mill max for Laporte / Silva

Knowing the way we sell players, the likelihood of getting 130m is remote. Ruling out academy players who are sold on, how many established players have we bought, and subsequently sold on for a profit?

I think we'd get around £100m for Laporte and Silva. Gundogan would obviously move on for free. Cancelo might bring in £40-45m. City have said they want £35m for Gomez, but I imagine it'd something like £28m. Kalvin Phillips seems 50-50 at the moment, but you'd say £40m for him if he does go. Then you have the usual academy fire-sale that brings in about £50m. Adding all that up would take us to somewhere near £260m.

If we’re not being strictly realistic, I’d go for:

Gundogan - de Jong
Silva - Bellingham
Laporte - Gvardiol or a left back like Davies or Hernandez
