Who's the greatest American band of all time?

popa chubby, thought i'd throw him in the mix cos he looks like he's just found his guitar in a skip and tunes it up on the go, oh and hes lost weight since i first stumbled across him

I always thought the chorus of Smells Like Teen Spirit was a rip-off of U-Mass by Pixies. In fact, if you were to change them from minor to major, a lot of Nirvana songs sound like they could be Pixies songs.

That being said, Smells Like Teen Spirit was released a few months before Trompe le Monde so the similarity could be a coincidence.
I quoted you to say U mass was after Smells like teen spirit and then noticed you mention that yourself lol

Nirvana or Kurt were big Pixies fans, Trompe Le Monde was an underrated album imo

You don't like Bob Seger?
I thought everyone likes Bob.

I'm feeling a little deflated now.
My favourite along with Jackson Browne.
Having said that, I preferred Richard Dunne to Ruben Dias.
Ha ha ha Richard Dunne is my second favo(u)rite City player after Vinnie!

I do like Jackson Browne. I don’t know what it is about Seger other than I always despised Night Moves and it never got better. Same with Rod Stewart and Maggie Mae (though I liked The Faces).

To be fair The Eagles were okay until a certain point. But they annoy me for two reasons — the first is The Long Run, arguably the worst record by a “major artist” I can think of combined with it being endlessly overplayed everywhere, and the second is their cover of Seven Bridges Road which is right there with Red Red Wine and Come On Eileen as songs that will instantly cause me to stick my foot through whatever device is playing them.

But Joe Walsh solo? Love him.
