Why Berti Glaubér?

has anyone ever wondered why we signed him?
i still do. i've been wonderin from the first time i read it.

i mean...he used to play for nuremberg and didnt get a new contract and so he became a free agent. n all of a sudden we sign him? why? he is slow as fcuk n wasnt even good enuff for an average german team :D

actually..there's one probable reason...they wanted to build some kind of brazilian community so all the new brazilians we sign feel better n get used to new atmoshpere even faster.

any thoughts?

I honestly have no idea. He played 19 times last season for a team that got relegated from the bundesliga. I see no reason to sign him to help Brazilians feel at home: Elano survived last season, and Berti has played only once for the national team so was hardly likely to be big chums with anyone.

Btw this question was the reason for the HAVE YOU SEEN GLAUBER BERTI? campaign.
