Why do people want to return tickets?

Sorry if its an obvious answer but i was wondering why so many people are talking about returning there tickets for the derby?

I for one will be keeping mine.

If I returned my ticket I wouldn't be able to go to any more home games this season.

Holidays.
Work as they already took time off.
No holidays.
Lost too much money on missed flights.
Some have spelling tests that night.

Some people have caring responsibilities and cant get someone to look after whoever this time round
Some people have a distance to travel and cant afford the expense

Yes. I imagine that may be a significant factor.

Well I'm working a night shift, and have little or no chance of changing shifts as its too short notice, and folk are away on holiday. Not given up just yet, I have a couple of very unlikely options.

I was on a 1pm-11pm shift but those nice people at work have let me have a re rostered rest day. Works out better as I was working till 3pm originally.

Might go into Manchester now or the Trafford Centre beforehand if I can.
