Why do they have 3 windows at McDonalds drive thru's?

yeah that's what it used to be like at the one in whitefield but then they realised it was inefficient so they only use two.

they have 2 windows at my local train station.ive been here 2 years and never seen the other open.20 feckin minutes i had to queue the other day coz self service ticket machine was broke.
