Why have City asked Noel Gallagher to design a kit?

If they had got Brian Cannon to do the font in the style of Definitely Maybe it would have made more sense. No idea who Cannon supports, so may not have been an option. Which would have been better then getting Noel to do what he ended up doing.

I understand his name doesn't have the commercial appeal. However if that was included as part of this City/Oasis cross over it would at least have made more sense, given its his handwriting that is recognisable, not Noel's.

Cheers. I'll have to look at the cover. I didn't know there was handwriting on it (or the shirt for that matter).

Not me but I vaguely remember it. Was it about something he'd said in his routine or something? In fact it's coming back. Was it fbloke? I think it was. I think fbloke got a shock when Manford popped up.

EDIT: something to do with charity. That was it I'm sure. Fbloke was well in the wrong.

As an aside I had a barney with Scully on here once who is a mate of the Gallaghers about our manager.

It was me.

Manford came on offering leftover tickets to his gig at the MEN on a cheap deal for City fans. I "hilariously" re-worded his post saying something like "Due to low ticket sales owing to me not updating my routine since the last tour, I wondered if any of you chumps would bail me out and fill the arena."

He wasn't best pleased. There were a lot of people who had a go at me saying that I was only having a go out of jealousy at a blue done good but an equal amount telling him to wipe his fanny - he was getting a typical bluemoon welcome. It carried on for a couple of weeks on and off.

On the forums, we were at each other but in PM's, it was quite civil. I couldn't tell if he was serious on the thread.

Then, I fanned the flames and after a night of hardly any sleep, realised I'd gone too far with one post and deleted it as soon as I had a chance to at work. Learned my lesson. For a while.

If its any consolation I've always thought he was a bit of a knob. Give him credit for being a proper blue though.
