when
we dont have any history and never won anything
it was the 3rd biggest ground in england

funny how we dont have any history before 1992

i would love a 60.000 etihad stadium capacity we would fill it with the new team and the chairman plans for even more great players we need a bigger ground with the world watching our fan base would grow very quick

It's just a figure plucked from thin air, just like the forty million who turned up to watch the rags drive their bit of tinware through the streets of Salford.

I can remember going there in pre swales days when it was rammed. Attendance 52000

I can remember going there in swales days when it was equally rammed.
Attendance 36000

Maine Road started off a lot bigger mate, between 80,000 and 90,000 and i would also like Eastlands bigger

i doubt we will fill etihad stadium what with the way the economy is. and no i`m not a rag

i think crowds up and down the country will fall

My dad went to the 6th round FA cup tie v Stoke in 1934... English record (outside Wembley), attendance 84,569...left his bike leaning against a lampost in Maine road (unlocked) it was there when he returned...(never expected it not to be)

Initially Maine Road was designed with a capacity of 120,000, but was scaled down to 80,000 for the final designs

Couldn't they increase the capacity and lower the prices? Then we'd sell out, they'd be making the same amount of money and the atmosphere would be better. They could then gradually increase the prices as our popularity grows and make back the money they spent on extending the ground.

i have been in maine road with 69.000 in against united, when the crowd went forward in the kippax you just went with them no option, i once lost my trainer so i waited till the ground emptied had a look around no chance of finding it, so i headed out of the ground then 200 yards outside their it was waiting for me? true
