He played 80 minutes at Hampden Park mid-week, whereas Adebayor did bugger all. He needs to be rested like anybody else. If only Adebayor had an ounce of pride, he would have enabled Tevez to have come off instead of him. We need to get Adebayor sold before his value depreciates any further.

He's giving Manu a chance but on todays showing is he worth persevering with.
I personally thought Silva should have come on at half time, for 60 minutes until he did we were very poor, he brought width and that priceless commodity, QUALITY.
Great game in the end credit to Blackpool they did what they've been doing all season and had a right go, good luck for the rest of the season!

If it had panned out like Mancini thought it would there would have been no need for Silva today and considering the week we have in front of us, resting him was the correct decision...no disrespect meant towards Blackpool who gave us a hell of a game. In reality, Ade was a no show...lazy and ineffective...I hear people saying get behind the players...I'll do that when they warrant it through actually showing they want to succeed...the rest of the team didnt play particularly well but Adebayor seemed as though he doesnt have the stomach for it, nor, dare I say it, the ability.Somud said:So our professional players can't play when coming back from the national team anymore now, like players from other clubs do?

Silva or Johnson he picked Johnson as everyone was on his back last week about Johnson being on the bench he picked him today and he didn't play well they can't all play every week :)

Silva ran his heart out at hampden in Midweek. Rushing him back into the starting lineup against blackpool shouldn't have been needed. Other clubs players manage it because they don't have as much class to chose from as we do.
Today ade was given his chance and it didn't work out. Not due to lack of effort as others have mentioned though. The tactics just didn't have enough in that 'hole' for us before silva came on.
