Why we will win the league!

Doubt they will collapse this season tbh. The indications are that we have to win every game. People have been predicting they will drop points for weeks now and they haven't. It is in our hands but even a draw for either team will probably be fatal at this stage.

This late in the season, to consider that it is being decided by the tiniest of margins.....

i just hope that it doesn't come to a FA f*** up that either awards a penalty that shouldn't have been, or denies one that should.

Salah is a great goal scorer, and his second (i think) V Chelsea was a blinder.... but then he goes all fragile if there is anyone anywhere near him and his dives just taint his ability.

But Salah is one man, we have half a dozen goal scorers in any given team - and our GD, despite key players being off for lengths of time shows City's supremacy.

Take the ball, pass the ball, take the ball, pass the ball... Score.

Come on City. We've got your back.

:)

i would hope that Newcastle and Wolves cause Liverpool problems - Wolves being their last game of the season may lead to some City nerves being jangled, but i hope that it doesn't come to that, because while City keep on winning, Liverpool can not catch us.

It is that simple.

Having said that, it isn't a walk in the park, and i'm sure that Pep and the lads will take their A game to every game.
If Liverpool need to win their final game to win the title against a team with nothing to play for they will win convincingly. I think there’d be more chance of them dropping points against hudds!

No Am from India. My cousin was a Liverpool supporter coz of Rafa Benitez who moved from Spain to Anfield and it went on from there, CL helped a bit and then the history took over. I agree the local supporters jump the gun a bit, but overall they are a very respecting lot. If you look at RAWK, lot of quality posters in there who support other clubs as well.
Is there a big candle industry in India or do you have to import yours from Liverpool?

No the requiems for any fallen dreams, even for the clubs who are competing with you are not held through any candle march, we just sign off the poker way, gg, gl.

Thanks for the reply, even if i did have to go looking......your location (which i didn't think was fair to reveal) was the reason i asked the question.I was genuinely intrigued as to your connection.
Thanks for the kind words mate, nothing with the location. Liverpool has a global presence and now City is also spreading its base vastly. Its a fact that when on song they belong to a different league, unfortunate that the same vigor was not seen in European cups yet but its matter of time. Just hope City takes good care of Messi and his Barca before he retires (and preferably not in this season please). :)

Our run-in is much tougher than Liverpool's. But those in the know - look at the betting odds - still favor us for the title.

If we can play as well as we did against C/P in our remaining P/L fixtures - we'll likely bring home the title.

Probably Liverpool won't run the table in spite of the fixtures ahead of them - so there's probably a bit of room for a tie/loss.

It's funny when you go on RAWK and read their threads, absolutely desperate for us to drop points in the next 2.

They'll be in tears if we come through them with 6 points.

100% agree - look at our match against West ham in 2014. One of the most stress free matches we had all season. QPR were fighting for their lives so that was a different story.

There is no room, used up over xmas.

well, 2 problems with this:
1. a huge market like this, with 2 runners, is largely dictated by the punters with the bookies shifting their odds to accomodate losses. The price is driven by opinion in this instance, not so much bookie knowledge.
2. City's odds have moved from 1/7 to nearly evens....

if we win it this season, it will be a remarkable achievement. That's all i say on the matter.

Just so. I'm very hopeful... but we've a lot of work ahead of us if we're to prevail.

The price on the markets though is largely based on market makers adjusting their position based on the expected probability of each club winning their respective games so they're fairly accurate.

When were we 1/7 ?

Huddersfield are no longer fighting for thier lives. They are well and truly dead and buried. Liverpool will be disappointed if they don't score 6!

well, if you look at a 'free' market such as the betfair exchange then it's opinion driving it, not a bookie. In fact, the bookies sometimes follow the betfair market on popular/difficult 2 horse markets like this, so as not to get pumped by arbitrage. Or you could look at it that some people have enough money to act as bookie and influence it. Anyway, that's by the by. I personally think in this particular market, the wight of public money dictates the price.

Apologies i mis-remebered, we went 1/4 before our December blip, 1/3 after reeling in Liverpool and going top and then have steadily drifted to current 5/6

Yep, we have to win every game as Liverpool won't drop any points.
I think we'll do it but there will be a few heart attacks along the way and the Utd game won't be as easy as some think.

And we really will be 1/7 when we just have to beat Brighton on the final day to win it :-)

The derby will be very hard, I'm thinking along the same lines as you.
