After Monday's game Roberto Martinez said that the tackle was 'never a sending off' and implied that the 'wrong' decision had cost his side the game. Yet now we find out that Wigan won't be appealing the decision.

haha probably heat of the moment and anger still inside him when he said it.

at the game when i saw it i thought straight red for caldwell but seeing the replay tevez went to stamp on his ankle!!

I had my eye on the ball and Tevez so didn't see Caldwell fly in and from my angle, facing Tevez, the first thing I saw was Tevez jump and land with both feet together, I thought he could be in trouble until I registered the raw of the crowd and saw Caldwell with both legs round Tevez.

It is like City with Adebayor against Stoke, we know it was never a sending off and if you appeal these days and lose, you get an extra game ban.

The FA continues to be corrupt, in the week they charge Roberto for leaving his Techincal Area, they ignore the Balckburn Player who brings the game into disrepute by admitting that he dived to get a penalty against Burnley.

I'm waiting for the dicks at the FA to charge Tevez - anything to avoid us gettung in the top 4

Must admit I saw the red card coming of Atwells pocket and I thought it was for Tevez angle I had I saw Tevez take off and come down didn't see the challenge from Caldwell until I got home and saw it on Sky

I still haven't worked out what Tevez was doing. If he had done that and landed on someone it would have looked terrible. But Ican't see it as anything like a stamp as he was always going to be there long, long before Caldwell.

Caldwell's looked harsh - the only thing I can imagine is that the ref thought he not only scissor tackled (which is usually a yellow), but then deliberately twisted once he was entangled which could have been more dangerous.

Hard to judge I'd say.

tevez went in with both feet but didn't jump, he kind of stamped, but tevez is lucky caldwells right leg didn't take tevez on the shin fully, tevez foot could of been locked in the turf and he could of snapped it,

at the time i though he sent caldwell off for going in with 2 feet, he sent him off for having one leg really really high and his second leg that followed through the tackle,

i've seen alot of players go in with 2 feet before like tevez, but not jumping, like a stamp, and nothing has happened, my initial feeling at the time of the incident monday that Tevez was off, was suprised to see the wigan player get a red.
