There's a preview of the game here on the Wigan site with the Head of their Academy, Gregor Rioch: http://www.wiganlatics.co.uk/news/a...w-latics-v-man-city-fa-youth-cup-2933930.aspx

Alex Gibson, who coached City's Youth Cup winning side in 2008, is also now coaching the youngsters at Wigan. Rioch says that “Manchester City have one of the best academies in Europe" and that "They’re doing a great job at Man City.”

What is the gulf in quality going to be like?

He says "some of our lads aspire to be premier league players"'and that really hammers home the difference in aims between the two academies, and obviously they are a level 3 academy.

They beat Derby in the last round who are category 1 so it looks like they're doing something right.
