Any mug could bring in good players with an open checkbook and the draw of the world's best manager to boot.

His contract renewals and sales have been absolutely shocking throughout his time here with the single exception of Negredo.

Can't believe people are defending the fact we haven't sold any of the deadwood. All shipped out on loan whilst we have the pleasure of paying a chunk of their wages. Hope over the next few years it changes.

In regards to Bony, thank fuck he has gone

Why would we want to sell Bony?

He's been absolutely wank for us, but he's not a shit player. He's got a good record at a club around Stoke's level. He's at his lowest possible value after 18 crap months, a good season on loan and we'll recoup far more then we would if we tried to sell him now.

Don't think it really matters to us anymore. We can spend stupid amounts of money each summer from now on. We've got more money coming in from the prem and champions league, so our finances will be better than ever.
Yeah i guess so, i guess its the wages we have people on that make it tough to offload them. Nice position to be in though.

Of course we wanted to sell Bony. He has no future at the club.

We just couldn't seal a transfer.

If Bony has a good year at Stoke it'll be good for his valuation and should make it easier to find a buyer at a price we're happy with, but it'll also mean he has a year less time on his contract, which will affect his valuation as well.

Would've been much more preferable to shift him permanently this summer.

That's not the worst move though, we're shipping Nasri, Joe and Mangala's on loan and paying most of their wages. Easily £100m worth of players and we're donating them to other clubs like a charity to find millionaire footballers new homes.

Utter joke.

If the biggest problem with our transfer window is we struggled to shift some deadwood then we've done fucking brilliantly this window.

Keep complaining and calling everything a joke if it makes you feel better I guess.

Plenty of time now to try and sell the loan players in Jan or next year, these deals usualy take a while to do and i think Pep would have wanted to see alot of the players for himself before we decided who was going. Zaba seemed likly to go until Pep worked with him and kept him.
Just a weird summer, plenty of new Pep players coming in and Pep proberbly taking his time to assess the existing players. Hence the loan deals rather than a fire sale

Don't mean this one as such, probably in the wrong thread but posts earlier was defending us selling nobody.
