Wilfried Bony - Loan to Stoke

Clipped an exquisite volley onto the bar against Arsenal and I wondered what cupboard he kept that level of skill in all season .

Best wishes Wilf

Never worked out for Wilf...seemed an odd buy at the time considering we seldom launch high balls into the area.
Hope he scores lots for the 6 fingered sister shaggers especially against the rags, chavs, spuds and dippers not forgetting arselona.
Good luck Wilf

He'll score a shed load for them.

He's an excellent player, just not suited to our style of play and I was gutted it never worked.

All the very best to him, hopefully has a blinder of a season, proves his worth and we can sell him on for top dollar.

I was pretty excited when we signed him, as he always looked good when we played Swansea and is probably the only forward I've seen who almost bullied Kompany at times.

Shame it didn't work out for him at City, but our system didn't suit him and he looked woefully out of his depth at times. I think it was a signing that Pellegrini requested, but it was obvious that he'd never be a Guardiola type player.

Hope it works out for him at Stoke, and think he'll do well there. No idea what happened with the supposed China deal in January though.

That's not the worst move though, we're shipping Nasri, Joe and Mangala's on loan and paying most of their wages. Easily £100m worth of players and we're donating them to other clubs like a charity to find millionaire footballers new homes.

Utter joke.

What's the alternative?

These players aren't going to get 1st team games with us, regardless of which they are contractually obliged to receive their wages playing or not.

At least this way we reduce the wage bill a little, it gets any disgruntled players away from the dressing room and we stand more of a chance of retaining future sell on valuation if the players are playing.

Disregard the sums involved regardless of personal opinion, this is top level premier league football and the wages are driven by market forces wether we like it or not. Hardly the players fault and we were happy to pay them accordingly.

The loan deals seem like no brainers to me.

I did have to laugh a bit at his interview. His exact words were 'i tried to show them my best' talking about the match he was in today, he only hit the bar didn't he? xD I know he did not mean to say it that way but it was still funny.

Good luck Wilf, good player just not suited to us, all the best.
