Not 100% convinced about his ability to work in small spaces and would rather see Silva in behind Aguero, but the guy is a proven goalscorer and seems very grounded. With that attitude he won't go far wrong.

WTF ???

Clearly coming to light that his wages are much closer to 70/75k per week than the 200k everyone wanted to start with. Obviously time to come up with some creative ways to bump that back up again.

'Yet to be convinced about how City plan to pay him', lol. BACS I'd suspect.

If, by the time he hits 26, Harry Kane had a goal scoring record to match Wilfried Bony's, would there be any argument but that he is "world class"?
Or to put it another way, if Bony were from a more established footballing nation, would the media be so reticent in their appraisal of him?
And what if he'd spent the past year scoring the same number of goals at a 'more fashionable' club than Swansea?

I'm pretty sure they'd be drooling about the guy. The irony of course being that he's only as good as he is (whatever level that may be), regardless of either his nationality or the collected wisdom of the Fourth Estate.
For me, he's as good as what's out there, right now. Second only to Kun in this league.

The ghost of Willie Banks has left the Kippax.

Put him in a Chelsea shirt and the tabloids would of been hailing this signing as a "Masterstroke"

Pretty surprised when I read this.....

"Swansea’s crossing accuracy in 2014-15 is the second worst in the league, whereas City's is the fourth best"

Very raw talent which could go either way in my opinion, it'll be both interesting and exciting to see which way he'll go

Not even defenders and keepers know which way he will go, that's why he scores so many ;-)

Haha well said.

I said early on in the thread that this is a great signing, with our Midfield behind him and his raw power and quick feet, we have an great attacking force again.

Bony will be our main man at set pieces which we criminally waste. Our midfield is the cream of this league imho and I think Navas will provide many assists for Bony.
Bony can't make Silva/Nasri/Kolarov/Navas/Milner clear the first man

NO. But he can makehimself, the first man ;-)

Why not Lacazette from Lyon? He also isnt going to the ANC

Because no fucking way can we fit that into a song. We're struggling with Silva and Bony FFS ;-)
Sheikh Mansour went to Spain
And brought us Lacazette
The picture's on the back page
Of the Warrington Gazette.

Easy!

I can hear it echoing from the South Stand already ;-)
