When we lose to someone...and we WILL lose this season

I reckon the thumping wins we have had recently have skewered our perception...everyones feet are floating and I reckon a reality check will come along in the form of some unglamorous side we thought we would give a spanking to

Don't think i'm trying to put a downer on proceedings...I'm loving this as much as anyone

But I just know this hammer every team into the ground mentality is going to be burst spectacularly some point soon and just wondering how bluemoon will deal with the fallout...

You won't see me on here if we lose the monging will be dreadful.
It will go something like

1) Bert out
2) Platt out
3) Barry is shite
4) Dzeko is a fucking lampost
5) Lescott waste of money
6) No pride no passion
7) Only playing for the money and not the shirt
8) Tevez can fuck right off

Of course none of the above will be remotely correct.

Typical city - only 31 points to avoid relegation. :-))

You're right, we will lose to somebody. On that day, I will log off here and go and do something else whilst people flap about who's fault it is.

The only thing stopping us beating every team is the attitude of our players and a bit of luck, if we go in to every game putting in 100% we have the ability to beat everyone, so the one off-day we have is bound to bring a few scapegoats to the fore.

The most important and pivotal part of the season for me will be the game after that first loss. How do we react? Do we bounce back and play like we did before? Or do we slip back into mediocrity and underachieving? That will be the real test of our team and, for me at least, will decide our chances of winning the title.

It will be a longer thread that Cooks resignation.

I've thought this for a while, will be interesting to see.

Saying that it's a frustrating game so far against Wigan, who knows, it could be later today.

Barcelona also lose games u know.

We could give a match to Barcelona. Their defense couldnt handle our attack as well as our defense could handle theirs. ;)

And to the OP, I think we will go unbeaten this season. The new invincibles. ;)

interesting

I agree with the basic sentiment of the OP. We have to be realistic about how we are going to perform under the pressure of 2 games a week, injuries, lady luck going our way etc.

But on the other hand fuck we are good. And being so good creates its own expectations. For first time in 43 years I cant wait for the derby. That's how good we are

What kind of Bluemooner doesn´t know how this forum is when we loose games? lol..meltdown, everyone blaming anyone etc.

Lifes sweet supporting a top quality team. Never experienced this before. Going into games confident of getting a result, and watching some of the world's best players performing at the top of their games. Exciting times ahead as we're sure to be in the running for the title and may surprise a few in the Champs League. It doesn't get much better than this for a footie fan. Makes Bluemoon a bit boring though with naff all to whinge about....

I will completely avoid upstairs for at least 3 days and take refuge in the Bluemoon Refugee Camp downstairs if and when then should happen.

Until then I shall enjoy every moment as I am doing now! :-)

We are inevitably going to lose at some point, as are everyone else. What we do need to start doing is going for the jugular in the last 15 mins instead of playing pretty keep ball. The extra few goals in GD pot could make the difference at the end of the season.

Having said that the football we are playing at the mo is from the gods.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but the OP doesn't seem to have noticed that some posters on here go into meltdown and spew their bile at our staff even when we're winning!

(so if we lose a match I don't think it's really going to be that big a deal from normal, LOL)

the site will go in meltdown just like other forums when their club lose
just look forward to the next match when we lose

We will lose and we will be shit. Everyone needs to get this into their heads. But common sense will tell you that it will be infrequent and we'll rectify them with many quality performances.
