Will heading a ball ever get banned in football?

Thought it was already banned from our corner kicks. Never seen one reach the head of any of our players since about 2 seasons ago

Possibly agree to youth level. It’s a lot of pressure on a kid to make a header with a fast travelling ball launched from 50-60 yards - I remember as kid fearing going up for a header, always mistimed it and it fucking hurt.

Liverpool have scored over 20 goals from headers this season, miles more than any other team. So no, it won’t be banned.

New guidelines being recommended from today, much revolving around training routines.

how can you say only 10 headers a week in training ??
its got to be up to the players to say. just like drink and other stuff that's not good for you its a choice

Footballers in England are to be limited to 10 "higher force" headers a week in training under new guidelines for the upcoming season.

"These are typically headers following a long pass (more than 35m) or from crosses, corners and free-kicks.

Children aged 11 and are no longer taught to head footballs during training in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, while FA guidelines for coaches also puts limits on how much heading older children should do.

Not sure how this will be enforceable?
Will this change the way football is played?
Will the home nations suffer long term competing aerially?
Thoughts, move in the right direction or?

Who will be there counting? And what happens if someone heads it 11 times?

And why has Wales not been included for kids!

Yep,it will be incredibly difficult to implement.

The takeaway message though is that its wonderful to see how important this issue/topic is being taken, and that action is being taken to minimise further injury/death.
