The daft cunts will wake up one day and realise we have more in attendance than them. It will come.
I don't think many do. Every fan watches Match of the Day etc and can see for themselves. It's just a wind-up.Every ground in the country has un filled seats for a variety of reasons but the media use this as another item n their agenda as it appeals to the click bait armchair fans who never go themselves.
Unfortunately many real fans take it in as well.

I was talking to a united fan about this the other day and he pretty much said that the whole thing is one big wind up and is just done because they know it annoys the shit out of most City fans, I think most of us knew this right from the start. I totally accept that and football fans do this to each other all the time. What bugs the fuck out of me is that the media en masse have taken what started as a cheap wind up by united fans and turned it into a narrative that is now seen as some kind of reasonable view of the situation. I guess it's my fault for expecting the media to be made up of professional people who try to report things factually rather than gleefully buying into supporter nonsense in an attempt to embarrass certain clubs, destroy certain young players etc etc.I don't think many do. Not so sure. On holidays I meet fans of various clubs who do fall for that sort of stuff. All the main broadcasters sly refer to empty seats and find them whether they are in the away section or whilst we are still having a pint, or even genuinely empty and then they bang home the Emptihad message.
There were some pitiful cup crowds at the Swamps but the broadcasters never refer to them.
TV is a powerful medium - why else would people drink coca cola if it wasn't for the advertising that things go better etc?
We often score a late goal when the family stand is emptying so it doesn't look great on TV. Nothing to lose any sleep over though.
The total number of seats we didn't sell for Premier League games in 15/16 amounted to half the empties at the United vs Bournemouth game alone.
I know but it is the constant dripping lie which like the others irritates more than it should. Such as the stupidity of 'all City fans come from Stockport' stuff from people who do not know where Manchester is let alone Stockport. My standard answer to any of the people who use the empty seats to mock is 'I go to watch my team - do you do the same' and if I am particularly belligerent through real ale consumption I get personal about the empty armchairs and empty beds in their own life.
As I get older I do not get mellower.
True. Keeps us onside though. I am sure their success and their attitude towards us in the 80s and 90s, when we had very little to throw back at them, kept City fans tight.I was talking to a united fan about this the other day and he pretty much said that the whole thing is one big wind up and is just done because they know it annoys the shit out of most City fans, I think most of us knew this right from the start.
