Will the Premier League ever open up a 21st league team for guests?

A non permanent, 21st team. For example, invite 1 European powerhouse per year to play in the League.

Bayern become the 21st team and play all their home games at Wembley. Or Barca, Or Real. How realistic is this? It's possible.. imo.

What? How would this work? Would Bayern not compete in their own league for a season? Think it through and you’ll come to the only sensible conclusion, i.e. ridiculous idea!

yes.

The league would survive, thrive even, with a new winner. La Liga missing one of Real/Barca on the other hand...

Personally I'd reduce the PL to 18 teams but they won't vote for that.
So would I, but I wouldn't have done so when we were one of the teams under threat, and there's your problem. The other is 2 less home games earning revenue, not many voting for that either.

As for the OP's suggestion, it's beyond daft.
