will todays result.....

We were as bad , if not worse , as we were at Spurs ...... absolutely pityful.

I was going to say that at least Mancini now knows which players he can rely on .... but i can't even say that , the entire side were abysmal ....... and we were lucky they didn't get more goals.

You couldn't blame him if he sold most of them tomorrow , they let him down bigtime on a day when rivals Spurs and Liverpool only drew , and we could have made headway.

But he doesn't appear to be in too much of a hurry to make big-name signings , and it's hard to see this result causing him to 'flap' ..... but like with all City managers , he'll have to get things right or he won't survive here.

Points from the game:

1) What the bleeding hell was that wall about? We put the two smallest blokes on the pitch in it and then one of them ran away from the other creating a gap to put the ball through.

2) Credit to the referee for the penalty decision. He saw the shirt pull outside of the box but played the advantage because Saha was dealing with it, but when Richards pulled his shirt inside the box there was no advantage as a penalty was much better. However, Saha looked gutted by the decision lol.

3) Robinho can sod off as soon as he likes, although if he thinks Barca are going to want him he's got another think coming. Personally I don't think we'll be able to sell him as no-one will pay £30m or his ridiculous wages. I say we stick him in the reserves for a few weeks, let him experience some freezing night matches on training pitches. Tell him unless he shows enough desire he won't be getting back in the first team which will probably mean he won't be at the world cup.

4) I said I'd be happy to take a defeat today if it meant we won on Tuesday. I just hope someone heard this and has a special surprise planned for Tuesday because apart from United's defence looking shocking I don't see how we'll compete against them. I'm feeling so negative after today I've put a week's wages on United to knock us out over 2 legs. If I lose that money I'll be the happiest guy in the world! :)
