Or is it more profitable to treat it than to cure it?

Has a cure already been found but being kept back for economic reasons?

I think it can be beaten, but there is no profit in beating it.

An early diagnosis helps in some cases and so does lifestyle / diet. The value of a life should outweigh anything else.

You answered your own question. We'll all get it the way things are going.

Worth a look.

There are so many variations of cancer that it is impossible to find a blanket cure, at the end of the day cancer is a mutation of cells and as such has many forms, the way forward is treatment to kill the affected cells. To imagine that a cure existed and is being suppressed for financial reasons is naive to say the least.

I imagine through stem cell and GM virus research the treatments will eventually be extremely effective.

It just takes time. Then we'll be statistically more likely to live a bit longer before something else kills us.
