Will we play well against Sunderland?

I think the break has been very unfortunate timing for us.

Mancini obviously had an easy start when he joined, and then the wheels fell off. But the last few games, I really thought we were started to get it together. Johnson on the left, Sweep on the right (finally!); Lescott and Kompany starting to look really solid; de Jong like a rock; Bellamy getting back to his best; Tevez looking terrific as usual.

I thought we played pretty well against Stoke and obviously fantastic at Chelsea.

So will the positive momentum continue? Or is it going to be "typical City"?

best news imo is that we will only play 1 up top, Carlos, as when we have gone 4-4-2 away we generally struggle to get an early foothold in the game.

Ade's ban is a blessing at this point when our next 2 games are both away.

we will be much more solid with 3 in centre mid.

Re: We will play well against Sunderland?

It could be a good thing for us that Sunderland FINALLY got a win at home, and a convincing one at that - 4-0.

This might encourage them to come at us and play an open, attacking game, which could suit us - we have the speed and skill to kill them on the counter.

Unfortunately, they are still far from safe, and I suspect that they will pack the defence and midfield, even though they are the home side.

Haven't we been a bogey side for them in recent years?

Darren Bent is a threat but Jones is awful.

I know that we all want a win, but a draw would not be a bad reult - we must just not lose!

No.

We'll be boring as fuck whilst Merrecks boys kick 7 shades of shit out of Carlos with no respite from the ref.

Hopefully, the players are now getting what Mancini wants from them and the Chelsea result will be a turning point for us.

Top four would be a fantastic achievement, considering where we finished last season.

The statement "We will play well against Sunderland?" doesnt need a question mark.

Otherwise you should put "Will we play well against Sunderland?"

I reckon it'll be scrappy, but did anyone see Wolves v Yoonited?

Not about how, we need to win.

Win first, develop flair later. Probably the best bet under Mancini currently.
Hoping for 3 points.

Re: We will play well against Sunderland?

Are we really gonna win , for the third successive time , on Sunderlands ground?

We certainly need to , but this is City , and how often do we fail to live up to expectation ......

One thing's for sure .... there has to be no repeat of the earlier game against them at coms ...... no repeat meaning allowing them to score THREE goals .... because i doubt if we'll score four goals for the second successive away match!!
