The ticket prices would be astronomical and would be pawned off to tourists as part of a big unforgettable day out. I doubt any of us would be going.
I predict empty seats, we collectively as a fan base ain’t got any appetite for a so called European elite fixture.
Much rather have a ticket for Newcastle at home any day of the week,
And don’t think corporates is an answer all that has done is deny most of us qualifying to go to an away game since that fukin tunnel club was dreamt up
For reference Bower Fold has a safety certificate to house 6k if anyone’s interested

Mulling it over - with our City Football Group - it strikes me that our club might have considered creating a new club within the group maybe "City FC" - offering the players the chance to have their contracts moved over. I could see it becoming the equivalent of an MLS type team - crazy wages for ageing stars to go and see out their last few seasons, and make the most of one last payday. I could see the likes of Walker, Fernandinho, etc being interested, with their chances of making international teams dwindling.

If it's as we fear and the board are considering taking our club into that completion, at the cost of being excluded from every other competition, it's a betrayal. If that happens they best come clean and say "We want the best players at the club, and the best players will all be snapped up by teams in the new competition - we want to be in it". It'll be despicable but it'd be honesty.

The other side of the coin is, although SSN are reporting we're part of it, everything you read says Rags, Dippers, Chelsea, Spurs and 2 other PL teams. They're also only using the aforementioned 4 clubs' badges in their visuals. The club may not be involved. Equally the club may have a foot in each camp, ready to jump ship at any time.

Sad times whether we're involved or not.

In what way would it be harmful?

The intention is simply to play in a European League rather than the Champions League.
We'll wait to see the final details, but because the "big 6" will always qualify no matter what. Leicester or Everton or West Ham or any other club who can currently qualify for the CL will be frozen out, guaranteeing big money for United and Liverpool and Chelsea and other teams who over the past five years haven't qualified.
