I noticed Sue mentioned thanking the President of the Khazakhstan Tennis Federation for being there to support her. Not heard anything like that before.

I wasn’t bothered who won really but she has given her allegiance to Khazakhstan a few years ago so I didn’t consider her Russian.

I wish she’d shown more emotion upon winning but everyone is different and she will probably show it more to her nearest and dearest.

It would have been lovely for ONS to win as first Tunisian woman to win a Grand Slam.

You will just have to settle for Kazakhstan's first Grand slam winner. :-(

Was there yesterday and I was just outside when a policeman on a bike came over and warned me about protesters because I had my " Oil Club " t-shirt on. He found it quite funny when I said it was Manchester City shirt. He said his colleagues had googled it and verified it. Got loads of comments off fellow spectators . We are number 1, that is of no question.
