It's a Mark 1, produced between 74-84. It's impressive in that condition, but maybe it's still being made in some parts of the world. (edit: Now saw the other post, seems so then)

iv got a slightly deeper than sky blue golf mark 2, wanted a mark 1 but finding 1 in good condtion with under 120000 on the clock for less than 3 grandish was very difficult, id love to win that car i truly would, if u would rather have a c1 i have no doubt in my mind that you are a hairdresser

also i think the 5 door is espeicailly rare aswell, however i dunno what they retail for in SA

the austin & morris are still made in india

the ford escort was sold to russia (only 7 yrs ago)
