The majority of the population over here are unfortunate enough to earn around R3000 a month if they are lucky, thats just over £200 a month mate.

Also for your info car prices over here are some of the dearest in the world and that citi golf shown is at least R85000 new!

Thats right, thats 28 times his monthly salary!

Lets say you earn £1000 a month, its the equivalent of you buying a moter worth £28000! Do you think you could manage that?

So yes mate, the majority over here would love to win that car.

yeh i know that but there winning a PRIZE so wouldnt be nice to win something you couldnt buy your self..sure the sponsors can spend a bit more on the prizes..
I'd imagine that the vast majority of people over there couldn't afford this car.

Edit: Looks like I was right

Fuck me we have turned into auto trader!

Not sure if its a citi or a chico but both are hugely popular in SA as no frills cars. I have rented them plenty of times and had no bother, there aint a lot to go wrong and at times in SA thats a real plus. The biggest downside is an irritating flappy clutch and no a/c. I can do with out all the mod cons but in summer in SA a/c is nice. Especially in Joberg where you probably dont want to open your windows. As Blueinsa said, most South Africans dream of owning a car like that, unless they are ministers in which case they have a 7 series BMW in Pretoria and Cape Town.
