Anyone know how to fix it?

Basically my Acer laptop running the latest release of W10 (21H2, 10.0.19044.1645) is running really slow and has become pretty most of the time. There is something software related that is causing the HDD to run at 100% capacity for extended periods of time which means simple things like opening a browser, email or other document takes ages, and things like Photoshop and Lightroom (photo editors) are pretty much unusable.

I've tried all the known fixes, and nothing seems to work.

Open cmd prompt as admin and run these commands...

SFC /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

Reboot and then run msconfig, uncheck all apps on startup that are not needed. Then check taskmgr to see what, if it persists, is using the disk.

I'll give that a whirl.

I'm guessing those are going to take some time to complete given the maxed out HDD?
