If I purchase a laptop with Windows Vista can I then use the Vista disc in my PC?

Doubt it mate although i haven't and won't be trying it, it will probably require online validation during installation just as XP does. You may also find you'll need updated drivers for some of your devices, not all will be available yet or possibly ever.
