It's clear we lack some width very often and I think Roberto Mancini doesn't rate Scott Sinclair at all and if we'll want to use 4-3-3 then we have to sign 1 or 2 wingers. i have some time so here are some interesting names and none of them should cost more than 17M. I'll write numbers from their domestic leagues only:

If you want a decent winger who can also track back - Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid would be ideal.

Has been one of the outstanding players this season and rated highly in Spain

This but I don't think they would sell him.

They really wanted to sell Adrian Lopez to Arsenal (11.5M), their financial situaation is not very good. 16M could be enough to sign Turan IMHO.
 
Yes we need width - everyone, except our manager could see that last season. He doesn't play wingers. But without it I don't see us progressing - the answer seems obvious to me....................similar issue to the CB problem.
 
I don't think it is that he doesn't rate Sinclair or like him it is he just doesn't do wingers.

Almost exclusively our width is the full backs. See the real emphasis and huge improvements with Clichy, Richards, Zaba, Maicon and Kolarov.

If we wanted to we could have signed a winger when we bought Nasri or when we bought Dzeko.

Mancini just doesn't like using them. I can't think of one out and out winger at Inter when he was there, Maicon became the best RB in the world however! ;)

we put more crosses in than any other prem team. We don't need width we have loads. Just look at any game this year and note where Zab and whoever is the fit left back at the time play.

Wingers are a unnecessary luxury these days their job is done by modern fullbacks.

You cannot write stuff like that. You have to play with wingers to win the league. You will have the width and pace brigade in melt down

It make no difference who's crossing them when the pass is poor, you might aswell play narrow.
 
We were very close to Alexis and Hazard. And I don't know any top team with no wingers.
