At the moment I'm using a Netgear DG834G,which I've had for about 3 years and I am looking into buying a new one,Can anyone recommend a really good wireless router adsl,I'm on talktalk not if that matters, with 2 pcs and a laptop and ps3 sharing at any one time.

I don't pay much attention to hardware these days but is there a reason why you want to replace it if it is only 3 years old? Netgear make decent network devices.

Have you tried updating the firmware? This might help solve your issue

Same happened to my DG834DT mate, and that was a second hand Ebay job. Lasted me for 3 years too. Save yourself the hassle of updating firmware, resetting the router etc etc, it will be on its last legs. I'm currently on one of these bad boys, works a treat. Get a new one! One tip, do not have the N mode activated on it, leave it on B/G as my wireless devices didn't seem to take to the N mode.

I can thoroughly recommend the Netgear DGND3300, if you have £100 to spend.

I used to have a DG834G, but wanted Wireless N for video streaming. First off I bought a Linksys WAG160N. DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE. Despite the good reviews, it's a piece of total junk and drops the wireless connection all over the place.

In the end I got the DGND3300 and it's been totally fantastic. The wireless coverage is great, it's reliable and just plain works. It also maintains a decent sync speed with the kit at the exchange, and I'm on a long noisy line. And it has every feature under the sun if you need it.

I really think it's the best wireless router on the market. By the way, the broadband buyer 4* rating is because one of the reviewers who doesn't know his arse from his elbow gave it nought. Cretin.

Bumping this...Still using my old netgear I'd forgotten about this thread and wished I'd looked before wasting £45 on a bellin n router which was a pile of sh#t,my lad plays black ops online ps3 it was allright until my other lad went on the PC watching YouTube videos both lagged like mad, plus could'nt connect up his PSP which is a doddle with the netgear.so switched back and there both happy, I'll have to eBay the belkin and save up for a rangemax me thinks ....AVOID belkin unless your just having a PC network you can buy mine lol....
