I've only noticed Naomi playing during the Olympic Games though I must also have seen her play once during the last World Cup without, I confess, her leaving any particular impression on me. I am well aware of her reputation however, and not just because of Emma Hayes's well publicised opinion of.her. I follow several podcasts which focus on the NWSL; Into The Channel, Attacking Third, Full time with Meg Lineham, and of course Sam Mewis's The Women's Game. When I wrote that Kadisha Buchanan may have lost her starter status, I wasn't alluding to Girma's role in the squad, but to the question of who might start with the American superstar.There is no may here.
