Wolves (A) Post-Match Thread

A great first half, never allowed Wolves into the game. Yet again the second half we failed to come out all guns blazing. Thus allowing Wolves back into the game. It's a good job that they were poor at finishing otherwise we well could have lost this game.

What on earth is Pep telling them at half time, that their can be such a big difference between how we played the two halves of this game. One of two things are happening either Pep is telling them to take the foot of the gas, or they are just not listening to what Pep is saying. Which ever one it is Pep has got to get it sorted and fast. Otherwise we will end up losing even more games than last season.
ok karen

Ohh fer fucks sake.
Do you know how hard it is to play away from home and dominate for 90 minutes ?

Wolves are a class team with a class manager. They weren't gonna just lie down and accept getting done at home.

Well done Pep and the lads.

It felt like a conscious decision to ease off in the second half and play to control the game rather than push to create more.

Bloody hell there are some hyper critical fans on here. The Scousers win two games, one with a late penalty and the other against ten men. We play a good team off the park for a good 80% of the game and people still find fault.

The Scousers are lauded as the greatest team ever, whilst we on the other hand are lucky?

Yep the media agenda in full mode influencing everyone’s opinions of the game. Lucky we got the win, looked slow, tired, pep not happy, defence can be got at and the narrative is set. If you read enough reports you start believing it’s true. Tin foil hat in place, set thrusters to warp speed next stop paranoia. Agenda is set, let’s hope some of the rag tops go bust.

Your boys were excellent the other night, especially KDB, in the first half I was fearing a drubbing so was relieved to get to half time only 2-0 down. We looked brighter in the second half and but for poor finishing could have pulled a 3-2 again. Alas not to be, only a Raul consolation in the end before Jesus sealed the points.

Hopefully you boys are back to your best and put the Dippers in their place.

Nobody is good enough to replace Aguero but Jesus did so much tonight he would be hard to replace too. Got his goal. What more do you want
Not be offside. Didn't even try to get back onside during one attack. Even at amateur level there are players who know how to stay onside. 10 goals more a season if he worked at that.

We get more of our tackles called as fouls. Some of the 'tackles' on our players tonight passed every criteria for a free kick, apart from Andre adopting the oft-PiGMOL approach of "Oh, City are two up they need a couple of yellows to rein 'em back in, and a string of fallacious free kicks to defend!"
We like to play on and refs allow that advantage so fouls against us are not recorded as fouls in the stats. Mind you, there was one yesterday where I wondered how it wasn't given as a foul by us, but the oddest was Sterling in the corner twice being kicked on the leg and not getting a free kick.

He’s learning all the time & despite all the “weaknesses” being pointed out in here, his goals scored; workrate & contribution to the side cannot be ignored. That’s why he’s in Brazil’s First team despite his age
