Wolves FFP sanction

Just found this corker on one of their forums (about us on their sanction).

He's angry because we should 'read it first' before passing judgement on why they've been done. He should probably take his own advice to be honest, and read the CAS findings on our case.

Translates to City we’re accused of inflating sponsorship but actually we’re found not to have done anything wrong, whereas Wolves knowingly ignored the rules entirely because they didn’t think they would qualify for Europe. He’s right, people do need to know the difference, one is guilty and has admitted their guilt, the other was falsely accused.

As much as I believe the rules are bullshit there’s some poetic justice they’ve been sanctioned after that letter, they punishment is almost nothing though.

Pity - they weren't fleet of thought enough to invents a bogus ground redevelopment story to provide cover..........

Remember, Wolves in the championship on top of these new charges:
Championship clubs raise concerns Wolves are not paying their players market rate to beat FFP rules with claims that Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota are on less than £20,000 a week
  • Division rivals allege that no Wolves player earns more than £20,000 a week
  • Complaints from Championship teams have been made directly to the EFL
  • They are unhappy about the influence super agent Jorge Mendes has at the club
  • Mendes acted as an advisor in Fosun International in the takeover of Wolves

A club can pay their players what they want as long as it in a contract surely?
