Stones has seemingly never been able to go this long without injury or niggle for us. They are looking after his body as let’s be honest, it has let him down so much in the past. We can’t expect him to play 3 games a week every week and not get injured. And Foden is 20 and still being managed perfectly so that his body doesn’t fail him later down the line like Owen, Rooney and so many others that played too much too soon.Seems Foden and Stones are having to accept rotation more than most.
That, or they are needed and trusted for the truly big games?
