Wolves Ref, not last night, not last season, but Saturday.

Re: Wolves Ref

Fat and clearly unfit. Made a glaring error when not allowing City to progress after a foul - then tried to claim it was a 'moving ball' when it wasnt as NDJ had stopped it moving with his hand, it was just he couldn't keep up.

The Prem refs no longer stop a game after a foul is committed, they let play go on if it favours the fouled against team, then take whatever action needed to be done, after that period of play has ceased.

Fortunately it didn't matter, and wont therefore be remembered. But City were through on goal when he pulled the game back and IF it had been a very important game it would be highlighted.

you didnt, but i was pointing it out barring in mind he's new on the list this season!

he cant be unfit is the point i should have made, all the refs take part in very tough fitness and speed tests prior to the season and you have to pass to be able to ref

he's been a much stronger ref recently, no comedy errors (fingers crossed) so no problems from me!

I thought he did okay ........

he did miss the penalty claim when Kolarov's brain slipped a gear , and he thought he was playing basketball ... but overall i thought he handled the game pretty well , and i've see a lot worse referees.

the thread is talking about the ref for saturday!

but yes, that was a nailed on pen, tho completely blind side of the ref, so falls on the linesman to give it imo

Manchester City v Wolverhampton Wanderers (Kick-off 3.00pm)
Referee: S Attwell.
Assistants: D Richardson, W Smallwood
Fourth Official: M Atkinson

I think you'll find the OP is referring to the forthcoming game and not last nights.
