City hold on here but with a team full of internationals it’s shocking from City - really poor performance . Tactically shocking and incredibly naive. Too many touches, too many passes backwards and too many passes to the keeper. Managerial change has come at a good time - this team has plateaued and needs a few changes and a fresh approach. We have made a very poor United side look good today. Just about every opportunity United had came from us overplaying it near our own goal and gifting opportunities to them. I’d guess 75 percent of Houghton’s passes were to Roebuck - many of them putting her under pressure. As an aside Alistair Mann was a complete joke - incredibly biased. How much did that bent ref add on? Lol.

I have watched the ladies a lot this season, they over complicate everything. As others have pointed out most of the keepers are bobbins, but we spend too much time passing it around at the back and give them very little to do. I would instruct them to get it out wide and bang in loads of lofted crosses and then just get players in the box, more times than not the keeper would not get anywhere near the ball.

Agree poor today but usually very good. Walsh and Houghton put her under unnecessary pressure today which really didn’t help.

Exactly. Play more direct and back ourselves to win the second ball - higher up the pitch. We don’t need to play 30 passes and go nowhere.

Well played City women.

Its a good result, beating them always is, but it certainly wasn't "well played City", one of the worst performances of the season for me, the passing was woeful from us, and we were lucky to win in the end. If we play that in our next 2 games we'll be getting beaten.

Right, been watching this since we went 2 up. Seriously, that GK for City is appalling. I know there's a great desire these days for people to make themselves look as PC as possible, these days being sexist is a crime on a par with being a Nazi war criminal. Frankly, this is pretty meh stuff, it's like a crappy 3rd division men's match slowed down...wait, what am I saying? Errr, this is brilliant stuff, what a match, these girls are miles better than men, sexual equality?, too right...in fact, let's pay them twice as much as the men because it's at least twice as good...see, I'm not sexist, no way, no way at all.

Personally didn't think she was that bad , great save second half push out for a corner and also save the ball on the line (which upset the commentators)
The two utd goals , one a great shot , the other a rugby line out . Which on another could easily of been a freekick !

I recon it’s important not to expect too much. It’s not the men’s team. Women’s footy is growing and growing but still quite raw. We’re top of the league and just beaten the rags in the cup. Don’t forget we loose most our best players to Lyon etc due to ridiculous wage cap. Put bronze, duggan and Paris back in this team and we’d be unbeatable
