Surely its sexist to have a rule that says womens wages are restricted?

We are controlled by The FA as the division isn't a private company. If the Premier League was still controlled via the FA like it was pre-1992 I think we would have possibly seen wage caps and huge English quotas by now. There would be more restrictions in place I am sure.
I reckon the restrictions are there to prevent the likes of us and Chelsea creating a 2 team league whilst the league is still in its early days.
I think there is a debate between some as to whether or not the men's teams should fund the women's teams as it creates a disadvantage for the likes of Doncaster Bells etc... And some believe the women's game should be independent of the men's.
As we know the financially it will never work. The women's game needs the men's game money if it wants to compete with the USA and the other top world leagues now.
Game is currently on... City now leading 1-0.
City look like they struggling now. First leg really did them in.
It's absolutely disgraceful that neither leg was available on TV in this country!
