Never disliked work but final bell rang at midnight so officially retired, just turned 63 and decided in November to call time on it, months notice and not well off or anyone special just shift worker who decided my family needs my time not my money.

Kind of love it in a wierd way although now I just do 3-4 days a week in the summer months and 1-2 days in the winter. Work for myself, it kind of ties me down and get bored easily and need to be doing something, also the money's not bad considering.

Recently, I faced a challenging health ordeal – a spinal tumour, fortunately successfully removed. However, it led me to the difficult decision of stepping away from work due to ongoing health concerns. I dedicated years to building a career, establishing my own business, which I ultimately had to sell due to my health struggles. At just 50, with the reality of being unable to continue the career I devoted myself to has been immensely challenging. I miss the profession deeply – every aspect of it, from the highs to the lows. It's a difficult adjustment. So yes I liked it and miss it.
