Work....who likes it.

Never disliked work but final bell rang at midnight so officially retired, just turned 63 and decided in November to call time on it, months notice and not well off or anyone special just shift worker who decided my family needs my time not my money.

Fuckin hate it and just want to retire to any small community in Scotland to live out the rest of my time

I'll join that..! I'm a builder and happy to contribute.
Can we find somewhere better than Scotland tho..?
Rather be warm.
Escapism mate.
I love the fact that we won't be far from family but miles away from today's chaos in England

HTe it.
Been off since 5th December.
And back in tomorrow.
Money is to good to give it up.
Can't wait to retire though

Recently, I faced a challenging health ordeal – a spinal tumour, fortunately successfully removed. However, it led me to the difficult decision of stepping away from work due to ongoing health concerns. I dedicated years to building a career, establishing my own business, which I ultimately had to sell due to my health struggles. At just 50, with the reality of being unable to continue the career I devoted myself to has been immensely challenging. I miss the profession deeply – every aspect of it, from the highs to the lows. It's a difficult adjustment. So yes I liked it and miss it.
