Then you missed his replacement have a far more effective game and creating more chances.

Rashford won a corner, gave it away and danced over the ball for few seconds before passing backwards with his three touches of the ball. He changed the game, though. Coz the guys on the tele said so.

I stopped watching once Sterling went off. He was trying to make something happen when almost all the others were spectating. Taking him off just then was silly. You are so lucky you have Kane.

On the contrary, he isn't a leader and slows us down.

Played direct. Wanted the ball and created some openings. Was a fine cameo. He, Sterling and the rest of the team did very well tonight.

I didn't see him be "far more effective" either.

So, which is it? He did very well, or the second post which is clearly an insinuation as to your opinion on to Sterling's efforts.

How about Sterling comes on after 80 minutes and runs at tired minds and legs. Ya reckon he might fair better then?

Was aimed at the poster who decided to switch off all because Sterling got subbed and his replacement did well. I like Sterling a lot, despite his missed chances I still think he created and caused some nuisance tonight - Rashford came on and what more can he do ? He ran at players and we had an extra spark going into last 10. End of day. Both young players and both get ridicolous abuse.

I thought Stones played well. Macguire had a moment or two and looks very awkward but he played decent. Trippier got involved a fair bit and I thought Henderson done ok too. Alli was off the pace and poor, so was Sterling. Lingaard was lively at times but his finishing was mediocre. Young was as usual hit and miss. Walker was solid but a stupid brainfart moment which is not uncommon for him. Kane does what Kane does best.

I can’t recall Rashford creating anything. But guess that’s football: we watch the same event but see a different game.

'his replacement had a far more effective game and created more chances"as you put it, after Rashford arrived on the pitch against tiring minds and legs. Something Rashford benefits from, yet Sterling does not.

Sterling is being played out of position and is being asked to do things he cannot do. It is so obvious where his best position is (watch him at City - yes, England do not have Silva or De Beuyne). It gets on my nervez as FB has gone into overdrive with folk hammering Raheem.

I know you are a big England fan and don't denigrate England players, but your post that Sterling's (Rashford) replacement had a far more effective game and created more chances is demonstrably unreasonable on the basis Rashford had ten minutes, and his orders were 'please, make summat happen, lad'

Andy Carroll could come on with 2 minutes to go and create havoc.

Raheem needs a break, every fucker wants to hammer (no pun intended) him.
