World Cup 2022 dates announced

This will be my seventh tournament
All the grounds are within an hour of each other, so theoretically, you can get to 4 games a day. Looking forward to visiting a new part of the world, and ticking off some new grounds.

Doom and gloom again like there was ahead of Russia, and yet anyone that actually went will tell you how good it was.

If England do well, or win it, no one will be complaining about the time of year it takes place. The players will actually get an entire summer off in 2022 as well which is unheard of.
Have to agree, Russia was fantastic as have been the other tournaments I have been to. I would thoroughly recommend going to a World Cup or Euros. A great lads holiday, watching football all day with people from all around the world who all love the great game.

I thought Russia was a great place for the tournament before during and after it took place.

I don’t have a problem with any hosts anywhere in the world. If North Korea were given the World Cup I’d think there were positives.

It’s the time of year that’s the problem. Nothing should disrupt the football season. Nothing.

The World Cup is a busted flush and Qatar could kill it off for good.
It's so sad where football has ended up isn't it mate. Money! Money! Money! in a rich man's world.

In the 70s, 80s and even the earliest of the 90s the World Cup used to just be the biggest, most important football tournament in (...dare I say it?) the world :) and that's what it felt like too, just really, really important.

...and then in '94 the good old USofA received a weird, "free entry" golden ticket and it has, (IMO) ever since that moment, turned into what feels and looks like a bigger commercialised bandwagon of money making bollocks than even the Chumpions League; a festival of TV football instead of a festival of football on TV.

Maybe it's ALWAYS been this way (look at how many host nations have done really, really well over the years), but my take on it is that the underhand bung taking just to host it has influenced what pans out on the pitch a bit too much, but like I say, maybe it ALWAYS has and maybe I've just realise how corrupt World football is at every level, but Meh, maybe I'm just getting old.

Don't get me wrong, I watch it, and I shout "Come on England" but it all feels a bit empty.

Oh, and En-Ger-Land are ALWAYS shit.

football has become a tv sport sadly and after this covid-19 virus football now has shown it does not need fans in stadiums, in fact its become WWE and all a act and scripted and the winners are hand picked
