Love that Aurelio Martinez song mate. I downloaded the album last night on the strength of it, I'll check this one out later when I get in from work. I'm a novice in this area so I will give all your recommends a play.

Aurelio will be playing at the Band On The Wall on Nov 18th this year. A must see. Promotong the new album Laru Beya. I saw him and his band at Womad this year and they were just brilliant.

As i said in the thread title it's a category that is full of holes to be honest and fdifficult to define it's so broad.
I would have put your selection in a 'soundtrack' category and it's definately Orchestral.
Here's adifferent take on the orchestra The Pengun Cafe Orchestra to be precise.

I listen to German Indie Music but I think 'world music' is more like folk-y stuff is it not?

If when you say folk-y you mean traditional then there is an element of that to the World scene. However it is also full of innovaters who are taking traditional music and moving it into the modern era like these guys for example.
