Worst Goalkeeper

trying to stay away from the transfer forum, but I
We have had many a fine goalkeeper over the years, names like Trautman, Corrigan, Coton, Hart, to name but a few and we have been renowned over the years for the quality of our goalkeepers. But we've also had some terrible ones as well, the one who sticks in my mind is Barry Sidall, even though he was only on loan, I really thought he wasn't very good. What goalies do you remember playing for us, and being absolutely dire ?.
 
Margeret Margeretson was completely useless but didn't get to play too many times.
Andy Dibble for me, was only good when he threw a strop because he'd dropped a clanger.
I hated David James but he was quite good.
David Seaman was past it before he arrived.
Eike Immel played a part in my favourite, Tony Coton's departure.
 
Immel is up there but i think Martyn Margetson was really poor keeper as well another reason we ended up in the 3rd division

I remember going to a end of season game against Everton (early-mid nineties, I think) We lost 5-2, and he was in goal. By fuck, he was shite!

Would you class David James as the worst goalie

I have no idea why he wanted to be a striker on the final day against middlesbrough

Its like having joe hart as a striker (to be honest he can play like one with that scissors kick in training)
 
Margetson is the worst keeper I've ever seen play for us. I would rather have played with 10 men. Couldn't catch a cold. Had no positional sense whatsoever. Useless.
 
Seaman was always being lobbed from 30 yards .... Brian Penas of Newcastle was responsible I think... and he didn't make for clean sheets
 
just hang about here, Seaman was absolutely shite at City, Margetson wasn't much better, Keith Macrae was truly awful and he had a ginger perm and don't even get me stared on Perry Suckling, Barry Siddall and John Burridge. The only GK we've had that truly deserves the accolade as our worse ever is the one and only Simon Tracey, not only did he concede 5 at the swamp but he pushed at least 4 of those straight into the rags feet, I've never seen a GK push so many balls back into play, if I didn't know any better I'd say he took a bung, well TBH I don't know any better and I've always insisted the fooker took a bung!
 
Remember a mates brother sponsoring a game at main rd after the game up in the players bar he went to the bar for the beer came back with 4 pints handed um out then said to andy dibble sorry andy I would of got u one but u would of dropped the f***er exit dibble red faced !!!
