One of the worst is George Harrison's on All You Need Is Love.

It was recorded live and he fucked it up live on tv. It started ok but went off key, then he just stopped.

I put a lot of Jimmy Page’s live stuff in the same vein.
Albums are fabulous and not many better for killer riffs but I find his live solos underwhelming.
He was probably tired from noncing underage girls. A fucking beast and a nonce.
Love the hypocrisy inherent in happily listening to Led Zeppelin while tutting at fellow paedophiles like DLT, Stuart Hall and Jimmy Savile

Guitar solos are often self-indulgent tripe. Drum solos are worse. Bass solos even worse. Yet somehow I still love Rush. Explain.

I suppose there’s a place for them if the artist is really, REALLY good. Personally the only guitar soloist I truly love is from a band I hate — Joe Walsh of the Eagles. And maybe Eddie Van Halen depending on the song.
