Was traveling to Reno once and stayed in a desert town shit hole called McDermitt. The motel was like something out of the Psycho but with less company. Still. For a place that's not even really a town but an unincorporated community. It wasn't too bad.

Last week in Essen ....an apartment we'd booked for £60 (clue there) .....it reminded me of where Abu Nazir was hiding out in Homeland.
Ended up going to the Holiday Inn Express as the mere thought of returning to the apartment at midnight was spoiling my enjoyment of the whole trip. Best money I've ever spent

A couple of absolute filth holes in Bombay when working over there they were organised by the customer, second one I lasted 15 mins in and just fucked off to the Holiday Inn on the beach, the weirdest one was in Taiwan again organised by the customer and the place was called the love Motel which a one hour fuck pad for unmarried couples etc, 24/7 porn on the tv no other channels and ash trays full of condoms I recall the bed sheets were rubber! Just plain weird and not a brass in sight unfortunately

The Innishman guest house in Rhyl.
Folks used to take us there every couple years for summer holiday.
Right on the front and opposite Rhyl Sun Centre.
A coin box for the telly, a coin box for the electricity meter, a wooden table in the window and three bunk beds in a studio classed as deluxe.
Drunks coming in at all hours. And that was just my folks!
