Would Dzeko have been successful under Pep?

If he funked about like he did at the end no.
If he tried he would have still have been second choice to Sergio.
Good back up nothing more.

Obviously second to aguero, and always looked a bit clumsy - almost like Goater at times. His stats for goals per game / minutes were always excellent though iirc?

If he'd put the effort on a regular basis he could have been first choice. It's a mighty huge if though.

He'd be like a ST Mahrez otherwise. Immensely talented and a hugely valuable player but not quite, 'right'.

Dzeko was a victim of his own ego in the end. He seemed to think he should of started more because he became a good impact sub. He became a good impact sub because his efforts dropped massively in the end over 90 mins and he was only good enough to be a second choice striker and an impact sub. So no. Pep likes workers, Aguero was almost a gonner at one point so Dzeko wouldn't of stood a chance.

I don't know what it is about him, but he's one of the most underrated players in my lifetime. Dude scores goals for fun in every league he's been in.
59 goals from 109 games for Bosnia dragging them up through the rankings, 78 goals from 172 games for Roma since he left us and something overlooked by many critics was the number of assists he provided in his career. Very hard to imagine Pep would not have made best use of his capabilities. Tagged as a super sub hardly encouraged him to stay, he deserved better than that.
