if the club launched one in the future?(post Viagogo)

With tickets being sold at face value, with a reasonable admin fee to cover costs, and open to all season ticket holders, card holders, and new City fans currently on the season ticket waiting list.

You should be allowed to sell them well under the match day face value otherwise some games would never sell.

Offering a seller face value for their match ticket is enough.

I would rather sell/receive face value for my match ticket, rather than watch it go to waste because I've tried to make a killing on it and rip off another City fan.

If City want another first, there is no reason why they can't set up their own ticket marketplace and let City fans who don't have a match ticket buy them at face value from other City fans who can't make the match, with a reasonable admin fee.

An empty seat is a wasted seat.

I would not want to pay £56 for West Brom when the ST holder has paid £30ish per game. There is no face value on a season ticket.

yes

as long as I didn't need to buy a card just to give me the right to then buy a ticket

stop ripping us off

*reasonable* admin fees are obviously perfectly acceptable

I would. I live overseas do it's either home or away games not both. I find away games 10 times better but I need a season card to get away tickets so my seat is empty a lot of the times unless I get rid of it to a friend or family member

If it was a season ticket seat, you wouldn't pay matchday prices. You would pay what the season ticket holder has payed for that seat. Season ticket price divided by 19 home games. The club would set that price on their matchday marketplace site.

This wouldn't be about making money, it would be about selling unused seats, be it season ticket seats or matchday seats. The seller get's their money back, and the club makes money via City fans taking up those empty seats, and hopefully spending money inside and outside the stadium. Food, refreshments ,souvenirs , etc.

Think my season ticket was £590. Divide that by 19 home games. It works out at roughly £31. I'd be happy with that. I'm sure a City fan buying my seat would be happy with that as well?

Sorry jrb but you have a totally flawed reason behind this, something that I was going to post on the other ticket thread but decided not too

The club cannot sell a match day ticket at the face value for a season ticket, end of

Why not?

Am I missing something here?

Just asking the question, so let's no get into a spat about it.

As far as I'm aware, unless it's against PL rules, there's nothing stopping City from selling empty season ticket seats at individual season ticket seat prices. If that season ticket holder can't attend the match and the club offer their seat at X price, why can't the club sell that seat?

due to work commitments i cant get to all the home games , so i always purchase a blue membership , on occasions i dont know if i can make the match until 24 hours before the fixture , and invariably there arent any tickets left , but it is annoying when you see the game on match of the day , and there are empty seats , when all the tickets are sold . Not having a go at ST holders who cant get to a game , But the club need to think of a solution , maybe a stand by list or similiar , if a season ticket holder can text the club of the availabliity of their seat , the club could in turn text someone on the stand by list and sell at face value , and credit the season ticket holder
