If it is true that we are considering “the cheap option” André Silva for the striker, I have to ask why not also consider Wout Weghorst, from Wolfsburg (which finished ahead of Frankfurt in the Bundesliga), an even cheaper option. Bundesliga numbers: 34 games, 20 goals, 9 assists. Only two of those goals from penalties. He’s 28 and has practically no injury history (https://www.transfermarkt.com/wout-weghorst/verletzungen/spieler/228645). His positioning is very good, he’s taller than even Haaland.

I feel it in my water that we will come up with a surprise choice like this player. It wouldn’t surprise me at all.

28 year old with 4 caps and in his 3rd season in a decent league.
Anyway good striker but doesn't fit what we are looking for in the slightest, he's a target man, we aren't looking for someone to pump balls up to.
